It is a Houdini animation collection about culture preservation. When I interned in CIDI, I got a chance to connect with some of the Intangible culture inheritors and dig into the situation that culture now faces. I worked with HUNNU Culture Heritage Digital Center to design some of my projects. Intangible legacy products are vanishing in today's world, and people no longer respect them in real life. Many inheritors' works have been preserved in museums and galleries, much like artifacts from antiquity. I created a virtual collection about the recreated artifacts based on the ancient pieces. Using digital technology, I would like to preserve, protect and inherit the cultural heritage of China.
Intangible legacy products are vanishing in today’s world, and people no longer respect them in real life. Many inheritors’ works have been preserved in museums and galleries, much like artifacts from antiquity. However, it is an unusual phenomenon on social media that internet users are unaware of the harmful consequences unless they are reduced. As a result, I designed a cultural factory to destroy the surviving cultural legacy and raise people’s awareness about the importance of preserving those priceless historical artifacts.
