This book features cultural evidence derived from traditional Chinese culture that I discovered during my study abroad in Los Angeles. I want to excavate those forgotten memories and civilizations that my grandparents told me about. It is the first chapter of my research project on the preservation and evolution of Chinese culture. Various aspects of traditional Chinese culture are disappearing among Generation Z in mainland China.

It is the first chapter of my research project “On the Way" on the evolution of culture. I spent two months interviewing and experiencing lifestyles in San Gabriel, Los Angeles. I noticed a few interesting correspondences and evolution happening in today’s Chinese American community and documents such as through the eyes of the camera.
